Steinhatchee Shores and Ideal Marina has broken ground. Ideal Marina takes a weary pause in operations after this year's scallop season to transform itself into Steinhatchee Shores and Ideal Marina, a mixed use development consisting of waterfront and water view residential lots each with fee simple in-water boat slips and dockage on the Steinhatchee River. Steinhatchee Shores and Ideal Marina is a modern facility that pays homage to Steinhatchee's past. It will provide the utmost in amenities to its new inhabitants.

Construction crews are busily preparing all sitework for the community and are now dredging the boat basin to provide ideal water access from the boat basin to the Steinhatchee River and beyond. Following dredge work, the modern dock system will be installed, with luck in time for the March 1 trout season opening!
